Getting Started - Import Existing Contacts
Seamlessly migrate existing customer lists, leads, and custom tags from CSV or Excel spreadsheets into your universal Webigo CRM.
1. Prepare and Clean Your CSV File
Ensure your spreadsheet has dedicated columns for First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone Number, and Company. Extra fields can be mapped to Custom Fields.
Pro Tip: Format all phone numbers in international E.164 format (+1, +44, +49) to ensure automated SMS delivery works out of the box.
2. Launch the Import Wizard
Navigate to CRM > Contacts in your dashboard and click the 'Import Contacts' icon located in the top-right toolbar.
3. Map Columns to CRM Properties
Verify that Webigo AI has automatically mapped your column headers to the appropriate CRM properties. You can create new custom properties on the fly if needed.
4. Apply Tags & Trigger Automations
Optionally apply an import tag (e.g., 'Imported-Sept-2026') or opt to enroll imported contacts directly into a warm welcome email sequence.
